First Crate Strawberry Auction for Charity Returns to the Benton Harbor Fruit Market
A beloved Southwest Michigan tradition is making its return as the first crate strawberry auction for charity comes back to the Benton Harbor Fruit Market on Friday, May 29 at 10:00 a.m.As part of the kickoff to the market’s 166th season, Glassman Auctions & Real Estate will auction off strawberries from the first local grower to have fresh berries available for the 2026 season. In keeping with tradition, 100% of the proceeds from the auction will go directly to the buyer’s charity of choice.Community
