On Saturday, June 27 from 7-9PM, the Box Factory for the Arts, 1101 Broad St., presents an evening of music from duet Bill Schnell and Dennis Waite, joined with Mark Albers and Monte Blue. The once duet, now four performing under the name the “Other Brothers,” all with rich musical backgrounds, are prepared to entertain you with song and story!
Make sure to reserve your seats! Tickets in advance are $20 for cabaret seating, $15 general admission at https://ticketstripe.com/
Their mix of folk, old-time, Americana, and original songs about everyday people are designed to inspire hope, “in the Pete Seeger mode,” according to Schnell. They choose and write songs about freedom; what brings people together. Instruments featured include six-string and twelve-string guitars, dobro, bass, and the voices of all four performers; the “Other Brothers” have experience playing guitar, banjo, and mandolin.
When asked where the name “Other Brothers” came from, they said it came from an audience member saying they sounded like the “Smothers Brothers.” All the “Brothers” have played locally and regionally; with Bill Schnell hosting the Friday Mason Jar Acoustic Jam in Benton Harbor, MI. Join the “Brothers” for a fun and family-friendly evening of music and storytelling at the Box! A big thank you to Honor Credit Union for supporting concerts like this as a Main Stage Community sponsor!
