Filmmakers Jon Hammerbeck and Neil Harvey are back at the Box Factory for the Arts, 1101 Broad St., with a new experimental short film: “GodCocteauTheory.” The film will be screened repeatedly on Friday, May 15, from 5:30-7PM during the Opening Reception of this year's MAAC Exhibition at the Box Factory. Join the group down in the Box Factory’s Library on the lower floor, where commentary will be encouraged, and chocolate will be provided!

“This experiment further fires our enthusiasm for the work and words of Jean Cocteau, Jean-Luc Godard, and Chantal Akerman. Our process is greatly inspired by Jean-Luc Godard’s challenging statement: ‘You don't make the movie. The movie makes you.’” - Neil Harvey & Jon Hammerbeck

Co-Director Jon Hammerbeck is a lawyer who resides in Los Angeles. His sound work has been featured at experimental music festivals, in films, and on the radio over the past 40 years.
