Applications are now being accepted for the 2027 gallery exhibition season and beyond! Applications for this round of submissions are due by 11:59pm, September 13, 2026. Artists will be notified of their acceptance via email by October 16, 2026 (no phone calls please).
The Box Factory for the Arts, 1101 Broad Street, provides a unique opportunity for Michiana artists to gain exposure in a gallery setting. The organization, Berrien Artist Guild, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit has fostered the promotion of regional artists through studio spaces, classes, and exhibitions for over 30 years. For this reason, we propose all artists consider supporting the Box Factory (Berrien Artist Guild) through an annual membership at any level.
Submission Guidelines:
- The proposed exhibit must be recent work (within 3 years) and not have been shown in any other gallery in its entirety in Berrien County, Michigan.
- The artist cannot have had an individual show at the Box Factory for the Arts within the past 3 years (2024-2026).
- Applicants who are residents of Allegan, Berrien, Cass, Kalamazoo, St. Joseph, Van Buren, Barry, Kent, Ottawa and Muskegon counties in Michigan or Lake, Porter, LaPorte, St. Joseph, and Elkhart counties in Indiana will be given preference.
- Upload five (5) to eight (8) images of the body of work for consideration for the exhibition.
- Please upload .png or .jpg image files (1200 pixels or greater at the longest dimension. File size under 5MB). Please label your files NAME_Title_Medium.jpg.
- If accepted, artist(s) must sign a contract and become a member of the Box Factory for the Arts ($35 single membership).
- The majority of the exhibit must be for sale. All sales at gallery shows will be through the Box Factory at a 30% commission to the gallery.
- If applying for a Group Exhibit, please explain how the works are related by subject, theme, medium, etc. Images and information about yourself/your show submitted by artists may be used for marketing purposes by the Box Factory.
