Ribbon Cutting: Villwocks: Dorothy & Al's Farm Market

There is something to be said about having both a vision for a project as well as the passion and ability to see it come to life. That’s exactly what Michael Villwock has been able to accomplish with his growing business Villwocks Outdoor Living and now Dorothy & Al’s Farm Market. 

Having expanded first at the M-139 location in Berrien Springs last year with the addition of a new 24,000 square foot greenhouse, 2024 saw Michael and his family also announced the opening of a new Sawyer location for Villwocks Outdoor Living and simultaneously the opening of Dorothy & Al’s Farm Market (Berrien Springs). 

“Dorothy & Al are my grandparents, the ones who introduced me to the world of agriculture and horticulture and helped me fall in love with it,” says Villwock. “Being able to open a farm market in their honor and continue to provide opportunities for people to connect with our roots means the world to me, my family, and our team.” 

Dorothy & Al’s Farm Market will have a true farm market feel to it, with multiple regional vendors' products showcased inside, including many from Southwest Michigan!

“We are continuing to build on making our space a destination for folks to visit and provide them with access to other businesses that they may otherwise never discover,” adds Villwock. 

Join us for an official Ribbon Cutting celebration on Thursday, June 6th, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., co-hosted by the Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber and the Harbor Country Chamber of Commerce. The event will feature remarks and the cutting of the ribbon at 5:30 p.m.

Enhancing the festivities, enjoy delicious food from Evelyn Mae’s BBQ food truck and live music by the talented Gypsy Jazz Guitar musicians. Additionally, the Villwocks team will be giving away hanging basket door prizes. Don't miss out on this exciting event!

In addition to the new Dorothy & Al’s Farm Market, customers can continue to take advantage of current services including property management, spring and fall cleanups, lawn/bed maintenance, pool/spa installation and service, pest control, lawn fertilization, new landscaping design and installation, sprinkler systems installation, outdoor power equipment sales and service, snow plowing, and “The Garden Center” featuring trees and shrubs available all season, as well as vegetable seedlings, annuals, and perennials will continue to be available.
