Women’s Service League (WSL) has announced that New Heights Christian Community Development Association, Inc. (New Heights CCDA) has been selected as the beneficiary of the 2026 Women’s Service League Charity Ball, to be held on Friday, February
27, 2026, from 6:00–10:00 p.m. at Union + Social, 216 Court Street, St. Joseph.
The annual Charity Ball brings together community members for an evening of dinner, entertainment, and a silent auction, raising critical funds to support local nonprofit organizations that strengthen families and neighborhoods across southwest Michigan.
“Since 1931, Women’s Service League has invested in organizations that create lasting, positive change,” said Shannon Luczak, Chair of Women’s Service League Charity Ball. “We chose New Heights CCDA as our charity partner because their mission aligns deeply with WSL’s commitment to supporting women, children, and families and strengthening our community at its foundation.”
Luczak added, “New Heights CCDA addresses some of the most pressing needs facing local families—from access to food and transportation to safe, welcoming spaces that foster connection and long-term stability. This event is not only a Charity Ball, but a call to the
community to come together in support of neighbors working toward stability, self-sufficiency, and hope for the future.”
New Heights CCDA serves individuals and families throughout Berrien County by addressing the practical barriers that prevent people from achieving stability and long-term success. Through programs such as the Auto Ministry, Community Food Network, and Laundry Hub, New
Heights provides reliable transportation, consistent access to healthy food, and safe, welcoming spaces where relationships and community are built. Together, these programs help restore dignity, strengthen household stability, and equip individuals and families to move from scarcity to stability and, ultimately, toward lasting success.
“We are incredibly grateful to Women’s Service League for selecting New Heights as the beneficiary of this year’s Charity Ball,” said Chris Britton, Executive Director of New Heights CCDA. “Their partnership and support will help strengthen our ability to walk alongside families
as they work toward greater stability. We are honored to be part of an event that brings the community together for such a meaningful purpose.”
The 2026 Charity Ball will feature a Hollywood Glam theme with semi-formal attire encouraged. Proceeds from the event will directly support New Heights CCDA’s programs serving local families.
