Watermark Brewing Co. is excited to announce its role as host for the annual Southwest Michigan Polar Plunge, which will take place on Saturday, February 1st. This much-anticipated event will bring together the community to raise funds and awareness for the Michigan Special Olympics, with a fun and icy plunge into frigid waters as the day's highlight.

This year’s Polar Plunge will kick off at Watermark Brewing Co., with registration beginning at 10:30 a.m. and the plunge at noon. Participants, fondly known as "Plungers," will dive to support over 23,000 athletes across Michigan who participate in Special Olympics programs year-round.

“The Polar Plunge is one of the most exhilarating and meaningful events we host all year,” said Owner/Co-Founder Chris Mason. “It’s an incredible way for our community to come together and make a real difference for Special Olympics athletes.”

In the days leading up to the plunge, Watermark is turning up the excitement with a Guinness World Record attempt! Starting Tuesday, January 28th at 3 PM, Watermark team member Juice will step into a vending machine to set the record for the most time spent in one—a full 24 hours. The challenge doubles as a fundraiser, with Juice aiming to raise $300 per hour to hit a goal of $7,200 for the Polar Plunge. So far, $2,000 has been raised, leaving $5,200 to go!

The event will also take place in Stevensville’s Social District. Attendees can enjoy beverages from participating establishments while exploring and celebrating the Polar Plunge. This unique feature ensures something for everyone, whether plunging or cheering from the sidelines.
