The Whirlpool Corporation Appliance Sale returns to help area residents get a jump on their spring home projects Saturday, May 2 from 8am-4pm and Sunday, May 3 from 10am-2pm in St. Joseph. This year’s in-person sale event will take place at 211 Hilltop in St. Joseph (main entrance of the Clark Logic Hilltop Business Center). Pickup for major appliances and large items will be at the Feeding America warehouse on Empire in Benton Township.
The sale is open to the public and offers 300+ discounted Maytag, KitchenAid, JennAir and Whirlpool brand ovens, ranges, refrigerators, dishwashers, washers and dryers at significant savings. All major appliances are new with a full one-year warranty. The sale will also feature Gladiator garage products, and KitchenAid small appliances & accessories offered at exclusive prices. Cash and credit cards will be accepted for this sale. Delivery and installation of major appliances are available for an additional fee. 100% of the proceeds from the appliances sold benefit United Way of Southwest Michigan.
"The Whirlpool Corporation employee campaign for United Way is something we take real pride in every year, and this sale is always one of the highlights," said Rob Moser, Whirlpool Corporation's vice president of design and chair of this year's employee campaign. "We have incredible volunteers who put in a lot of work to source appliances from across the country just for this event, and volunteers at the sale are available to speak to people about our products. At Whirlpool Corporation, we are in constant pursuit of improving life at home, and this sale helps us give back to the communities where we live and work by supporting the important work United Way of Southwest Michigan does every day."
Clark Logic has donated space for the sale to take place, while United Way impact partner Feeding America will provide the warehouse space for the sale. Delivery & installation options, as well as expert loading of major appliances, is provided by Stevensville-based Hassle Free Moving. Last year’s sale brought in over $100,000 for United Way of Southwest Michigan in just two days from hundreds of sales to local residents.
"This sale is one of the most anticipated events we have each year, and our community never lets us forget it," stated United Way President & CEO Anna Murphy. "Our team and the Whirlpool employee campaign volunteers have put months of work into making this happen, and we are so grateful for that dedication. Partnerships like this one are what make it possible for us to do what we do for Southwest Michigan families every day."
