The Loading Dock, Buchanan's newest destination for live entertainment, community gatherings, and special events, will host Chicago alternative rock band The King of Mars on Friday, August 7th at 7pm.
The concert comes after a kickoff weekend for the new venue’s live music schedule that included Buchanan native musicians now based in Grand Rapids, New Troy, and Detroit alt rock band Heat Above.
The Loading Dock is Buchanan’s largest event venue and has a host of concerts and shows scheduled, among other private events and a bar and restaurant with craft cocktails and flavorful back-to-basics small plates and desserts.
The venue has also recently hosted Clarke Circle, Abbie Thomas, Jerod Bolt, and Newport Prairie Project. A full music schedule is available on The Loading Dock’s website.

Located at 325 E. Front Street, Suite 118, inside the historic former Clark Equipment building, The Loading Dock is open as a bar and restaurant when there are no private events scheduled. Regular hours are Wednesday through Sunday noon to 10pm.
