The Loading Dock, Buchanan's newest destination for live entertainment, community gatherings, and special events, welcomes three talented local and regional musicians this weekend. The concerts mark the kickoff for the new venue’s live music ongoing schedule.
Clarke Circle performs Thursday, July 30 at 7pm. He plays acoustic covers of great classic rock, pop, blues and a little bit of country…six decades worth of music! Artists ranging from Audioslave to Neal Young ..The Beatles to Weezer and many more in between. Tickets are $5 in advance or $8 at the door and can be added to your tab if you come to eat at the restaurant.
On Saturday, it’s an explosive alternative rock night starting at 7pm with local favorite New Troy. The band is made up of brothers and cousins Max & Sam Carlson and Aidan & Rowan Kile. Since forming in late 2024, New Troy has quickly earned recognition for their energetic live shows, dynamic songwriting, and impressive musicianship. With performances at venues like The Pyramid Scheme, Delandapalooza, and Park Theater — along with four releases already in 2025 — the band continues to establish themselves as one of Michigan’s rising rock acts.
Following New Troy’s set on Saturday is Heat Above, another alternative rock band from the Detroit area. The band has built a loyal following through dynamic performances at venues like The Crofoot, The Machine Shop, and The Blind Pig. In 2023, the band released their debut album, Tell Me How to Feel, which has since surpassed 600,000 streams. That same year, they opened for Charlotte Sands, Yam Haus, Telescreens, and Josh Abbott Band, further cementing their reputation as a band to watch.

Located at 325 E. Front Street, Suite 118, inside the historic former Clark Equipment building, The Loading Dock is open as a bar and restaurant when there are no private events scheduled. Regular hours are Wednesday through Sunday noon to 10pm.
