Shala 606 Introduces Yoga and Spanish Music Camps for Kids this Summer

Shala 606 in downtown St. Joseph, MI will host two new summer camps for kids this June focusing on music, Spanish language, and yoga.

The first camp will be ‘Music and Spanish Camp’ held Wed-Friday June 7-9th from 9-11:30am for children 5 to 10 years old. The camp is an exciting, energy filled 3-day camp that focuses on learning music fundamentals including theory, harmony and rhythm in an immersive Spanish speaking experience. The class is led by Cuban children’s music teacher Dayan Ramirez. Campers will learn the rhythm of music and repetitive patterns within songs, and Spanish song lyrics and learn what the words mean.

The second camp will be ‘Butterfly Kids Yoga and Mindfulness Camp’ held Wed-Friday June 14-16th from 9-11:30am for children ages 5-10. This camp helps kids to tap into their natural ability for movement, play and meditation. Campers will learn various yoga poses while practicing age-appropriate mindful meditation strategies to help them connect to their inner calm and strength. Campers will build strong connections with themselves and their peers. Yoga mat provided.

Parents should send children to camp with a water bottle and nut-free snack. To sign up visit and find the courses tab. Camps are $90 each. For questions call Shala 606 owner Clare Ramirez at (269) 985-3149 or email
