Berrien Springs, MI - The heart of Berrien County is set to welcome another new business as Refined Barber Company officially opens its doors on Saturday, November 9th at 11:00 a.m. at 102 St. Joseph Ave. in Berrien Springs. Owner, Megan Kerlikowske’s passion for hair, specifically barber services lead her to open the barbershop in her hometown of Berrien Springs.
A ribbon cutting and open house celebration will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 9th hosted by the Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber. The event will feature food trucks including Jalapeno Grill, Feeling Grazey, Tommy Drive BBQ, and Bair Country Coffee Co., a live broadcast with U93’s Big Perm, and provide an opportunity to connect with Kerlikowske and her team.
“I love the beauty industry but it wasn’t until I started working with a straight blade and doing barber services that I really found my calling,” says Kerlikowske. “Berrien Springs hasn’t had a barbershop in over 50 years, once I found the building and began talking with the landlord, I knew this is where I’d open Refined Barber Company.”
Now that the full remodel of the building is complete, Refined Barber Company will offer high end barbershop services, including haircuts, designs, shaves, beard trims, and grooming treatments. Additional services offered will include braids and dreadlocks.
