BENTON HARBOR, MI — Fresh Décor Pro Hardware is proud to celebrate its 25-year anniversary, marking a significant milestone in its journey of serving Southwest Michigan and its commitment to excellence. Please join us on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 283 Eighth Street, Benton Harbor, as we celebrate all day with food, specials, and drawings. Doors open at 8:00 am. The official ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 12:30 pm.
Stop by anytime during the day to celebrate with our team and view all that we have to offer. Dale DeLong founded Fresh Decor in 2001 with the goal of developing lasting relationships with our clients and suppliers, offering paint, hardware, flooring, and cabinets. All at a great price and quality mutually beneficial to all parties involved.
Dale lost his 2-year battle to stage 4 pancreatic cancer on May 24, 2024. His daughter Kym, who has worked beside him for more than 20 years, has since taken over running the company and is continuing Dale's legacy with his wife Joyce. Along with Chris, who has been a dedicated employee for 22 years and Lupe, who joined the team 2 years ago!
Fresh Décor is a woman-owned and operated business. Reaching this anniversary is both a proud moment and a testament to the trust and support of our customers, partners, and team. We are grateful for how far we have come and excited about the opportunities ahead.
Over the years, Fresh Décor has achieved several key milestones, including:
- October 2002—Moved to current location.
- July 2010—Expanded product offerings to include Pro Hardware.
- January 2022—Expanded flooring department.
- October 2024—Added quality cabinets and countertops with competitive pricing.
- February/March 2025—Reset the hardware section.
- April 2025–Grand Reopening to showcase our hardware reset, cabinet and countertop displays, and other improvements throughout the store.
