PIPESTONE GOLF ANNOUNCES MAJOR EXPANSION WITH NEW $2 MILLION INDOOR GOLF FACILITY IN LINCOLN TOWNSHIP

Stay tuned for more, including a groundbreaking with the Regional Chamber!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

June 9th, 2026

LINCOLN TOWNSHIP, MI Pipestone Golf is excited to announce plans to expand its indoor entertainment and recreation offerings with the development of a new 6,000+ square foot facility at 5151 Red Arrow Highway in Lincoln Township, located directly across from Tractor Supply Company.

The project represents an investment of just over $2 million and marks a significant milestone for Pipestone Golf founders and brothers Dustin and Adam Lester, who have spent years envisioning an expanded indoor recreation concept that would serve Southwest Michigan residents and visitors throughout the year.

Pipestone Golf is scheduled to close on financing for the project next week, marking a major step toward bringing the long-anticipated vision to life.

"We've talked about this dream for many years," said Dustin Lester, co-owner of Pipestone Golf. "From the day we opened Pipestone Indoor Country Club, we've believed there was an opportunity to create something larger that would provide year-round entertainment, recreation, and community gathering space for Southwest Michigan. To finally see that vision becoming reality is incredibly exciting."

The new facility is being designed with capacity for six state-of-the-art golf simulators and is expected to open initially with five simulator bays. This phased approach will allow Pipestone Golf to evaluate demand while complementing the company's existing Benton Harbor location, which currently features three Golfzon simulators and will remain fully operational.

"Southwest Michigan is a community where people invest because they believe in what's being built here," said Arthur Havlicek, President and CEO of the Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber. "Pipestone Golf is a great example of that—local owners putting real dollars into a facility that creates jobs and gives people a reason to stay and spend locally all year long. Congratulations to Dustin, Adam, and the entire Pipestone Golf team, and to Lincoln Charter Township for welcoming this kind of growth."

In addition to simulator golf, the new facility is planned to include a full-service bar, pending approval of a Class C liquor license that the company is actively pursuing. The building will also feature flexible event space capable of hosting corporate outings, private parties, leagues, fundraisers, and community gatherings. Guests will also be able to enjoy a small outdoor patio area designed for relaxing with beverages and light snacks.

Adam Lester, co-owner of Pipestone Golf, said the project is about much more than expanding simulator golf.

"Our goal has always been to create experiences that bring people together," said Lester. "While golf is certainly at the center of what we do, this facility is being designed as a place where friends, families, businesses, and community organizations can gather year-round. We see it as a recreational destination as much as a golf destination."

Southwest Michigan has experienced tremendous growth in recent years, yet seasonal weather continues to limit recreational opportunities during much of the year. Pipestone Golf sees the expansion as an opportunity to help fill that gap while continuing to support the growth of the game.

"Given our experience operating both Pipestone Indoor Country Club and Pipestone Creek Golf Course, we continue to see tremendous momentum in the game of golf," said Dustin Lester. "We want to do our part to make golf accessible to as many people as possible while remaining focused on operational efficiencies and passing value on to our customers. At the same time, we recognize that Southwest Michigan can have limitations on recreational experiences during the colder months. We are thrilled to provide friends, families, beginners, and longtime golfers alike with an opportunity to continue enjoying the game and spending time together throughout the winter."

The expansion announcement follows another significant investment made by Pipestone Golf earlier this year with the addition of golf professional Joe Kiss to the team. The move reflects the company's ongoing commitment to enhancing the golf experience for players of all skill levels throughout Southwest Michigan.

Since joining Pipestone Golf, Kiss has expanded the company's offerings in golf instruction, club fitting, custom club building, club repair, and retail equipment and apparel sales. He recently completed the prestigious Mitchell Master Club Building Course, further strengthening Pipestone Golf's ability to provide professional club services and personalized equipment solutions to local golfers.

Joe is already actively scheduling lessons and working with golfers throughout the region, helping players improve their games while providing access to professional instruction and club expertise.

"Bringing Joe onto our team was an important step in our long-term vision," said Dustin Lester. "As we continue to grow, we want to ensure we're delivering value beyond simulator golf and tee times. Whether it's lessons, club fitting, custom builds, repairs, leagues, entertainment, or events, our goal is to become a comprehensive golf and recreation destination for our customers."

The facility was designed with support from Bill McCollum of McCollum Architects, who helped bring the vision from concept to paper. Pearson Construction has been selected as the general contractor for the project.

Pipestone Golf remains optimistic about opening the facility before the end of 2026 while acknowledging that construction projects are subject to timelines and approvals outside of its control. The company's primary goal is to have the facility open and serving customers before the arrival of warm weather in 2027.

As development moves forward, Pipestone Golf anticipates creating approximately six to ten new jobs, further contributing to economic growth and recreational development within the community.

The project is currently progressing through the necessary approval processes, including liquor licensing and municipal reviews. Construction is expected to begin following final approvals and permit transfers.

The company emphasized that its existing Benton Harbor location remains an important part of its long-term strategy.

"Our current location helped establish the foundation for everything we're building today," Dustin Lester said. "We remain committed to serving our customers in Benton Harbor and are excited about the opportunity to offer multiple locations that serve different customer needs throughout the region. We believe there is room for both facilities to succeed and provide value to Southwest Michigan for years to come."

The Lester brothers credited their employees, customers, business partners, and community supporters for making the expansion possible.

"This project would not be possible without the incredible support we've received over the years," they said. "Our employees have helped us build a culture that customers enjoy being part of, and our customers have continued to support our vision every step of the way. We are incredibly grateful and excited to share this next chapter with the communities we serve."

Dustin and Adam Lester said the expansion reflects the broader mission that has guided Pipestone Golf from the beginning.

"Our goal is and has always been simple: generate significant customer value through a year-round golf and recreation experience while continuing to make Good Time Golf accessible, welcoming, and fun for everyone. Whether that's through golf instruction, club fitting, custom equipment services, indoor entertainment, outdoor golf, leagues, or community events, we want Pipestone Golf to be a place where people of all ages and skill levels can enjoy the game and create lasting memories."

Additional project details, construction updates, and opening information will be announced as they become available.
