Whether you want to strengthen basic math skills, tackle tricky topics, or get ahead in class, you might want to consider attending one of the Michigan Works! math workshops hosted throughout the month of January.

Join the Michigan Works! Berrien, Cass, Van Buren Adult Education team on any Tuesday or Friday in the month of January from 10 AM to 11:30 AM to scrub up on your math skills. These workshops offer clear explanations, hands-on practice, and helpful tips for adult learners.

Walk-ins are welcome! Workshops are open to students who are currently enrolled in or interested in enrolling in the Michigan Works! GED program.

“We know that education is the often the first step to employment, but we also know that it can be intimidating to get started,” said Mandi Somers, Adult Education Manager at Michigan Works! Berrien, Cass, Van Buren. “Although our math workshops are taking place in January, we help individuals earn their education all year round. Our Adult Education team can help you build your own individualized plan to work at your own pace in our learning labs. We also have resources to help you work on your GED preparation from home.”

The Michigan Works! Adult Education team has general office hours at the Benton Harbor Michigan Works! Service Center, the Paw Paw Michigan Works! Service Center, and at the Galien Public Library.

Individuals who would like to get started in the Adult Education program are encouraged to stop in and meet with the Michigan Works! team. For more information on hours, locations or general questions, visit miworks.org/find-education.
