SOUTH BEND, Ind.—Kruggel Lawton CPAs is pleased to announce the expansion of its Portage, Michigan office.
On June 1, 2024, Kruggel Lawton partnered with Cole Gavlas, PC to further expand the firm’s reach in Southwest Michigan. With the addition of Sara Sweers, CPA, who joined the firm as a Partner, a growing assurance practice, and expanded accounting and advisory services, the need for additional space became increasingly clear.
“This expansion represents more than additional space—it marks an important step forward in our growth in Southwest Michigan,” said Managing Partner Barry Hall, CPA, CGMA. “It ensures we have the capacity to grow, the space to collaborate, and the foundation to deliver the level of service our clients expect.”
Located at 2401 West Centre Avenue, the expansion will focus on the west side of the building, increasing the first-floor footprint and adding a second floor. The 6,000-square-foot project will include eight offices, a large conference room, space for 32 dedicated workspaces, two kitchenettes, a wellness room, and additional storage. The expansion will also add nine parking spaces and an elevator.
“This expansion reflects the continued growth we’ve experienced in Portage and throughout Southwest Michigan,” said Jason M. Martin, CPA. “We’re excited to create a space that gives our team greater resources to support that momentum and deliver exceptional client service.”
The firm broke ground on July 10, and construction is now underway, with completion expected by the end of the year.
