Honor Credit Union Welcomes Brian James as Financial Advisor with Honor Investment Services

BERRIEN SPRINGS, MICHIGAN – JULY 21, 2026 – Honor Credit Union is pleased to announce the addition of Brian James as its newest Financial Advisor with Honor Investment Services. Brian brings nearly 15 years of financial services experience and a strong commitment to relationship-focused guidance to his members.

Before beginning his career in financial services, James proudly served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves from May 1988-1992, including active duty during Operation Desert Storm. His service earned him the Southwest Asia Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon. He later earned a Bachelor of Arts in Management and Organizational Development from Spring Arbor University.

"Serving in the Marine Corps taught me that the mission always comes before personal comfort, and that the people to your left and right are counting on you to show up. I carry that into every member relationship," stated James. "People trust me with their financial futures, and I take that seriously. My job is to be the advisor I wish more people had access to, someone who listens, tells the truth, and stays with you for the long haul."

With extensive experience helping individuals and families navigate retirement and long-term financial planning, James brings a relationship-first perspective to his work. “Strong relationships are built on trust and understanding,” he said. “My goal is to understand what matters most to you and help you feel confident in the path ahead.”

Brian emphasizes the importance of trust and communication in every relationship he builds with his members. James’ dedication to help individuals create a holistic financial plan that supports their goals will ensure members will continue to receive the same seamless service they have come to expect from Honor Investment Services.

Brian has called Southwest Michigan home since 1996, where he has raised his family and built deep community roots. He looks forward to continuing to serve the region he is proud to call home.
