BERRIEN SPRINGS, MICHIGAN – DECEMBER 2, 2025 – In the spirit of Giving Tuesday, Honor Credit Union is once again living out its mission to give back to its members and the communities it serves. As part of Honor’s annual tradition, each of the credit union’s 484 team members receives $50 to pay it forward, empowering them to support local causes and create meaningful moments of generosity across Michigan. In total, the initiative reflects $24,200 dedicated to inspiring kindness and supporting Giving Tuesday efforts.
As a not-for-profit financial institution, Honor Credit Union’s purpose goes beyond traditional banking. The organization is committed to supporting people and communities through volunteerism and giving back in ways that make a lasting difference.
“At Honor, we believe giving isn’t just something we do. It’s who we are,” said Scott McFarland, CEO of Honor Credit Union. “Giving Tuesday reminds us that small acts of kindness can create ripples of hope and positivity that reach far beyond what we can see. Every year, we encourage our team to give back in a way that feels personal to them, and I’m proud of how they embrace this spirit and make a difference in the communities we call home."
Team members were encouraged to support organizations they care about or offer a thoughtful gesture to someone in their community, helping to spread positivity. From supporting local food pantries and animal shelters to providing gifts for families during the holidays, the initiative highlights the power of collective giving.
Giving Tuesday is a global movement that inspires generosity and community impact, and Honor Credit Union is proud to turn that inspiration into action across its 28 branches throughout Michigan. Serving more than 110,000 members statewide, Honor remains committed to its vision of putting people first in everything it does.
