BENTON HARBOR, MICHIGAN – JUNE 24, 2026 – Honor Credit Union, in partnership with Data Guardian, will host a Free Community Shred Day in Benton Harbor, MI. The event will be co-hosted at valued business partner, MOSAIC CCDA on Thursday, July 9, from 6:00 PM-7:30 PM.
This event is one of six shred days held throughout the summer and provides a convenient and secure way for community members to dispose of sensitive documents. Honor’s Free Community Shred Days not only help protect against identity theft but also contribute to a greener future by ensuring shredded materials are properly recycled.
Benton Harbor’s Free Community Shred Day will operate as a drive-thru service, where Honor team members will assist in collecting documents for shredding. While shredding will not take place on-site, all materials will be securely transported and destroyed by Honor’s trusted partner, Data Guardian. To ensure efficiency, each household is asked to limit shredding to 10 boxes or bags per event.
Free Community Shred Days support Honor’s people-first mission by helping protect personal information while reinforcing a broader commitment to environmental responsibility through services like e-statements and online banking.
Community Shred Days will continue through August as scheduled, though individual events may conclude early if shred truck capacity is reached. Dates and locations are subject to change.
