SOUTHWEST MICHIGAN – Visit Southwest Michigan is excited to announce the launch of Visit Southwest Michigan Radio, airing on 106.1 FM and streaming worldwide, offering a fresh and welcoming way to experience everything that makes this region special.
Created in partnership with Mid-West Family Marketing and Media, the new station is designed to serve both local residents and visitors by pairing feel-good music with meaningful local content that highlights the people, places, and experiences of Southwest Michigan.
“We are proud to introduce a new radio station dedicated to serving our local community and visitors to our area, made possible with the support of Mid-West Family Marketing and Media,” said Marcy Simpson, Executive Director of Visit Southwest Michigan. “We extend our sincere thanks to our sponsors and partners whose investment in this project reflects a shared commitment to the people and communities we serve. The station will offer an engaging blend of seasonal, upbeat music and will feature local attractions, informative segments on what to do and see, and community happenings designed to inform, connect, and celebrate the area.”
Listeners can expect programming that brings Southwest Michigan to life, including:
- Curated Soundscapes: A vibrant selection of feel-good, seasonal music
- Local Spotlights: Features on the attractions and people that make the area unique
- Community Connection: Informative segments highlighting local happenings and must-see destinations
Mid-West Family Marketing and Media, whose mission has centered on community service since 1958, is thrilled to partner on a station built with intention and heart.

To celebrate the launch, Visit Southwest Michigan, Mid-West Family Marketing and Media, and the Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber will host a launch celebration and ribbon cutting on Monday, January 26 at noon. Community members, partners, and media are invited to attend and help mark the debut of Visit Southwest Michigan Radio, 106.1 FM.
