EXCHANGE CLUB OF SOUTHWEST MICHIGAN CELEBRATES

105 YEARS OF SERVICE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

March 30, 2026

Southwest Michigan – The Exchange Club of Southwest Michigan is proud to announce its 105th Anniversary Celebration, honoring more than a century of service to the local community.

The celebration will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Hidden Pointe Event Hall, 1062 Nickerson Avenue, Benton Harbor, Michigan. The evening will begin at 5:00 p.m., with dinner served at 6:00 p.m., followed by a special program featuring patriotic songs by Sally Stine and the comedy of Craig Tournquist.

Founded in 1921, the Exchange Club of Southwest Michigan is part of the National Exchange Club, a service organization dedicated to strengthening communities through programs focused on Americanism, Community Service, Youth Programs, and the Prevention of Child Abuse. For 105 years, the Club has remained committed to making a meaningful difference throughout the region.

Locally, the Exchange Club of Southwest Michigan has made a lasting impact through initiatives such as the Newsie/Goodfellow Sale, support of the Children’s Advocacy Center, youth programs, and other community service efforts that directly benefit families in Berrien County. The Club continues to uphold its core values in all that it does.

Past National and Michigan District President Tom Karnes reflects on the organization’s legacy: “In 1921, an ambitious group of business people in southwest Michigan wanted to give back to their community in ‘Exchange’ for their personal success. For 105 years, Club members have been united in service by conducting projects in Southwest Michigan. The club values of Family, Community, and Country were their template as they strived to make Southwest Michigan a better place to live. Congratulations and thank you to the Exchange Club of Southwest Michigan on their 105th Anniversary of service.”

The anniversary event will feature an evening of fellowship, reflection, and celebration, highlighting the Club’s long-standing commitment to service and its vision for the future. Community members, partners, and supporters are invited to attend and join in commemorating this significant milestone.

If you would like to attend this event, tickets are $25 per person. Please send a check payable to Exchange Club of SWMI to P.O. Box 8755, Benton Harbor, MI 49022.
