Spring’s arrival signals the return of the camping season at the Coloma / St. Joseph KOA Holiday, with the campground officially reopening its gates on Friday, April 17, 2026. Guests eager to shake off winter and cure cabin fever will once again be
welcomed for a season focused on relaxation, connection, and outdoor fun.
“We’re reminded of something simple, but powerful: the most valuable things in life aren’t possessions, they’re memories,” said owners Mark and Karla Lemoine.
In today’s fast-paced world of packed schedules and constant distractions, camping offers a rare opportunity to slow down and reconnect. Whether gathered around a campfire, enjoying a quiet morning walk, or sharing laughter during a day of play, these moments often become lasting family memories.
At Coloma / St. Joseph KOA Holiday, creating those meaningful experiences remains at the heart of its mission. The 2026 season will run through October 12 (Columbus Day weekend).
While many guests have already secured reservations, campsites are still available for the major holiday weekends, including Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day, as well as for various weekday and weekend stays throughout the season.
.
“Our goal has always been to provide a place where families can step away from the noise and rediscover what matters most... time together,” the Lemoines added. “Even during times of economic uncertainty, meaningful experiences continue to be one of the
most valuable investments families can make, and camping continues to be one of the most affordable ways to do it.”
The Lemoines and their dedicated team are also inviting guests to participate in one of KOA’s most impactful annual events—KOA’s Big Weekend, taking place May 8–9, 2026.
This special promotional weekend supports the Care Camps Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides no-cost camping experiences for children with cancer and their families. Through these programs, families are given the chance to rest, reconnect,
and enjoy time together in the outdoors, and to share it with others who are walking their journey at a medically-supervised camp.
Guests staying during Big Weekend at Coloma / St. Joseph KOA Holiday will receive a special offer while contributing to the cause:
• Stay and pay for Friday night, May 8, and receive Saturday, May 9 at 50% off
• Then, the Lemoines donate half of the funds collected for Saturday’s stay to the Care Camps Foundation.
“When you stay with us during Big Weekend, you’re not only creating memories for your own family—you’re helping create them for families who need it most,” the Lemoines said.
