For Immediate Release: March 6, 2025
Bridgman, Michigan – The Greater Bridgman Area Chamber & Growth Alliance (CGA) is excited to announce their next ‘Commerce & Conversation’ event on Wednesday, March 19th at 5:00 p.m. at D’Agostino’s Navajo Bar & Grille.
Keeping with the theme of Chambers as Community Conveners, a topic that is relevant to businesses and community residents alike, Carly Swanson, Community Engagement Specialist from the Governor's Office, will provide an insightful discussion on the Governor’s plans and priorities for the year. Carly will share key initiatives, provide a glimpse into her role as a Community Engagement Specialist, and offer guidance on how attendees can stay actively connected with the Governor’s Office.
Bridgman CGA Director Nancy Kiernan shares, “We already know the Governor’s Office has shared multiple new and potential legislative changes that will impact business across Southwest Michigan. For Bridgman and Lake Township, having a relationship with and understanding how Carly can assist them in navigating these new rules and regulations will play a key role in their success and growth over the next two years.”
Prior speakers include: Jennifer Weitzel, Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development’s (MDARD) Wastewater Infrastructure Fund/Economic Development Analyst; and Sarah Snoeyink, the Community Development Manager at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC).
