Grab your boots and your sweet tooth: Donuts & Dancing: A Beach Town Hoedown is here this Friday, June 26, in the heart of downtown St. Joseph, and everyone’s invited. The free, family-friendly evening pairs warm, delicious donuts, live line dancing, and ice-cold drinks with one of Southwest Michigan’s best sunset views — all in the City of St. Joseph Social District.
From 7 to 10 p.m., Zo’s Mini Donuts will be serving them hot and fresh, while Schu’s Bar & Grill pours drinks from 7 to 9 p.m. that guests can carry and enjoy throughout the open-air Social District. At 8 p.m., the Sunset Coast Country Dancers will lead free country line dance lessons to get the whole crowd moving — no experience required.
“It’s a beach town hoedown, and you’re invited,” said Zoey Heyn, the teenage entrepreneur who founded Zo’s Mini Donuts at age 15. “Being able to bring the community together like this is a dream come true!”

Zo’s Mini Donuts was founded in 2023 by sisters Zoey and Lydia Heyn, who started the business out of a repainted 1950s Coca-Cola trailer when Zoey was just 15 years old.
