Over 60 high school volleyball teams from 32 Northern Indiana and Southwest Michigan programs will compete in the 1st Annual Michiana Volleyball State Line Clash, presented by NIVA, this Saturday, July 25, at the Mishawaka Fieldhouse.
Originally created to connect programs across Michiana, the State Line Clash has become one of the largest high school preseason volleyball events in the region, fostering competition and connections among passionate volleyball communities.
"When we first shared the idea for the State Line Clash with our presenting partner, NIVA, the vision was simple: create meaningful competition and bring together the volleyball communities of Northern Indiana and Southwest Michigan," said Jim Ragosta Jr., founder of Michiana Volleyball. "Our communities are so interconnected, but our programs don't always get to compete against each other.
The response from coaches has been incredible, and seeing 32 programs commit shows there's real desire for something bigger. We hope the State Line Clash becomes a tradition for coaches, athletes, and families every summer."
As the tournament's presenting and operating partner, NIVA is leading on-site tournament operations while working alongside Michiana Volleyball. Their experience hosting premier volleyball events and commitment to growing the sport in Northern Indiana as a volleyball club have been instrumental in bringing the Michiana Volleyball State Line Clash to life.
The event features varsity, JV, and freshman matches, offering fans a rare chance to see 60+ teams from both states compete under one roof.
