The ideal candidate will have diverse experience as a Medical Assistant and love working with all ages as well as working in a team-oriented environment. Primary responsibilities include rooming, assisting with procedures, phone triage, and tracking inventory. Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.

** Training will be between St. Joe and Portage locations**
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Rooming patients and updating pertinent health information in the electronic medical record.
- Assisting with procedures under supervision of providers.
- Entering the patient room with the physician during patient visit to capture and transcribe medical record documentation utilizing electronic medical record applications.
- Preparing and sending documentation to physician for review and approval.
- Assisting with basic lab and screening procedures.
- Working collaboratively with providers and coworkers in providing exceptional care to our patients.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to observe and draft a narrative account of events accurately, logically and grammatically correct.
- Keyboard proficiency and ability to operate a computer and related software applications.

- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality and quality patient care.
- Ability to multitask and coordinate multiple projects and patients.
- Ability to communicate and interact professionally with others.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand with mobility for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift, hold, push, and pull up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read, write legibly, and comprehend through listening and speaking.
- Ability to proficiently operate a computer and laptop.
- Position may require work at more than one local location during a scheduled work week.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma required.
- Must have valid CMA, RMA, or CCMA required.
- AAMA Certified.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 36 per week
