Join the Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber on Thursday, July 16 at 11:00 AM as we celebrate the grand opening of Hildebrand Fruit Farms' brand-new, state-of-the-art packing facility, located at 9625 Red Bud Trail, Berrien Springs, MI.
This milestone caps off a major expansion for the fourth-generation, nearly century-old family farm. After outgrowing a 60-year-old packing building that had been added onto six separate times, owner Mike Hildebrand and his team made the call to build fresh — constructing a new packing shed that doubles their previous square footage and finally gives the growing operation room to expand its packing line. The roughly $4 million project was supported in part by a $175,000 grant from the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD).
Hildebrand Fruit Farms grows peaches, apples, and pears across Berrien County, and this new facility means more capacity to pack and deliver that harvest — starting right in time for this year's crop.
Come celebrate with us! The event will include:
Guided tours of the new packing facility
Refreshments featuring local Hildebrand fruit
A chance to meet the Hildebrand family and their team of farmers
Come see how this longtime Southwest Michigan farm is investing in its future while continuing a proud family legacy of growing some of the region's best peaches, apples, and pears.
