Open House: Southwest Michigan Dermatology - Meet Dr. Brittany Valk
Southwest Michigan Dermatology is proud to welcome board-certified dermatologist Dr. Brittany Valk, D.O. to its St. Joseph office, marking an exciting expansion of full-time care for patients throughout the region. To celebrate, the practice invites the community to a Meet & Greet Open House on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at 2750 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI 49085.
Dr. Valk brings years of experience in medical, surgical, and aesthetic dermatology, along with a strong passion for personalized, lifestyle-centered treatment. Her clinical expertise includes skin cancer prevention, acne, psoriasis, surgical skin care, and cosmetic services such as Botox® and dermal fillers—always with a natural aesthetic in mind.
A proud graduate of Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Valk completed her residency at Beaumont Hospital – Farmington Hills, where she served as chief resident. She joins Dr. Jeffrey Globerson and Dr. Ryan Jones, who continue to provide surgical dermatology services during their visits from the Portage office.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Valk enjoys spending time on the shores of Lake Michigan with her husband, Dr. Josiah Valk, an orthopedic surgeon joining the local medical community this fall, and their goldendoodle, Finnegan.
