Story of The Boardwalk
This waterfront wedding and event venue opened for tours and booking in 2022 after 2+ years of dedicated renovation by husband-and-wife team Matt & Kathryn. They saw an opportunity to revitalize the former FOP grounds and committed to creating a unique space for celebrations by the St Joseph River. Together they balanced Matt's years of IT and construction background with Kathryn’s design vision to bring a new guest experience to the Southwest Michigan area. Surrounded by 400+acres of woods and farmland, The Boardwalk boasts a completely secluded private space on the riverfront with a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces to host celebrations in comfort and style. The open house on the 16th will include appetizer and dessert selections from Chef Alexander Gandia, drinks from featured local wineries, and live music throughout the afternoon. A 3pm ribbon-cutting celebration will showcase the grand opening of a new 3000+ sqft outdoor riverfront garden pavilion to comfortably host 250+ guests. This stunning and versatile new 3-season garden pavilion is the only one of it’s kind in the region. Please RSVP to this event in order to secure a ticket on our guest list.
The Boardwalk is now booking their 2024-2026 calendars to host weddings, graduation parties, corporate retreats, winter holiday parties, and every other kind of public and private celebration year-round. Please contact The Boardwalk directly to inquire on availability and schedule onsite visits.
