An immersive Halloween night of ghost stories, live performance, open bar, bites and a Monster Bash dance party at Petite Acres.
The evening begins with a signature cocktail by the fire pit where a vintage desk sits out near the bonfire, guests are invited to mingle, socialize and can write a note of what they would like “Incinerate something that’s haunting you” and toss it into the fire.
Zombie (professional) dancers walk across the dark lawn carrying lanterns to greet guests and escort them into the Monster Bash.
When guests walk into the dimly lit room to sounds where they grab apps and another drink and find themselves a place in the room.
Three hosts appear in the middle of the dance floor (with some interesting light). The center host (Annie hopefully) welcomes guests with the song Magic To Do from Pippin revised to fit, and introduces the first storyteller (Sawyer or Sophie or Max???). The first ghost story (schooner), the second ghost story (Panther) and the final story (Ghost island) “Which happened right here, who knows what can happen tonight!”
Fog machine…crazy music, sounds and zombie dancers come to the dance floor to dance. The three hosts move to the sides of the room. ( the whole feel is dead people) After their spooky contemporary dance the music goes into Thriller where guests are escorted by the hosts to join in along with them (slightly orchestrated with planted guests who know they will be drug up on the floor to join) the dance monster bash takes off into a night of dancing.
Timeline for the event
- 6:30 guests arrive at the firepit with a signature cocktail.
- 7:15 zombie dancers bring guests into Chateau Aster guests get food and drink and settle at highboys or tables
- 8:00- 8:30 program begins with The ghostly hosts. Enter…song, three ghost stories, dancers, thriller
- 8:30 open dancing
- 8:30 -10:00 psychists are outside on patio doing card reading, palm readers
- 10:30-goodnight
