Join the Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber and the Greater Niles Chamber of Commerce as we celebrate the grand opening and ribbon cutting of Krasl Art Center’s new Print Lab on Thursday, November 19, from 5:00PM to 7:00 PM at 707 Lake Boulevard in St. Joseph, with remarks at 5:30PM.
Sponsored by French Paper of Niles, the Print Lab is the region’s only drop-in print lab, an accessible maker space in Krasl’s former gift shop dedicated to print-based media, creativity, collaboration, and DIY publishing.
Equipped with a refurbished Riso Digital Duplicator, a light table, typewriters, and collage materials, the Print Lab offers drop-in, hands-on art making for youth, artists, and visitors alike. It is donation-based and open to all. “To see the activities and collaborations of guests… let us know that we have absolutely met a community need,” said Tami Fauver, Krasl’s Executive Director and Chief Curator. Refreshments and activities will be provided, and everyone is welcome to attend.
