SUMMARY:Rocky Horror Show Musical (Rated-R)
DESCRIPTION:A fully staged production of "The Rocky Horror Show The Musical" will be produced for the 2nd season in a row at The GhostLight Theatre beginning October 17th through Halloween weekend\, and Sunday\, November 3. Directed by GhostLight GM and Artistic Director Paul Mow and Choreographed/Co-Directed by Paige Mulick\, Rocky Horror will also feature a different guest narrator each evening. This production is Rated-R for content\, and is meant for mature audiences only. Only adults 18+ will be permitted without an accompanied parent/guardian.\n\n\n\nThis hilarious cult classic is a tribute to the science fiction and horror B movies of the 1930s through the early 1960s. In this musical with music\, lyrics and a book written by Richard O'Brien\, sweethearts Brad and Janet\, stuck with a flat tire during a storm\, discover the eerie mansion of Dr. "Frank-N-Furter". As their innocence is lost\, Brad and Janet meet a houseful of wild characters\, including a rocking biker and a creepy butler. Through elaborate dances and rock songs\, Frank-N-Furter unveils his latest creation: a muscular man named "Rocky."\n\n\n\nBeyond its cult status\, The Rocky Horror Show is also widely said to have been an influence on countercultural and sexual liberation movements that followed on from the 1960s. It was one of the first popular musicals to depict fluid sexuality during a time of division between generations and a lack of sexual difference acceptance. Like the film adaptation\, the musical is noted for a long-running tradition of audience participation through call-back lines and attending dressed up as characters from the show.\n\n \n\nAudiences are encouraged to dress in any/all costumes to attend the show\, and a costume contest will take place with an award given each night for best costume. In addition to audience callbacks\, a limited number of Rocky Horror "participation kits" will be available for purchase at the event\, as well as beer and wine on Friday nights.\n\n \n\nThe cast of Rocky Horror Show The Musical includes: Paige Mulick (Janet)\, Michael Finchum/Jarad Madukas (Dr. Frank-N-Furter)\, Wes Shenker/Evan Cook (Riff Raff)\, Sam Donoho/Cristian Marquez(Brad)\, Einra Baker/Abby Hosinski(Columbia)\, Meggie Anderson/Caiti Hernandez(Magenta)\, Dennis Davis(Rocky)\, Eric Thiele/Triss Wright (Eddie)\, Doug Peterson (Dr. Scott)\, Meggie Anderson (Usherette) and Lane Alsup\, Michelle Miller\, MelCaitlin Sampsell as Phantoms/Transylvanians. \n\n \n\n2024 Rocky Horror Guest Narrators:\n\nThursday\, October 17 - Candice Elders\, Honor Credit Union\n\nFriday\, Oct. 18 - Collin Wagner\, GL Technical Designer\n\nSaturday\, Oct. 19 - Dan Maxon Once\n\nSunday\, Oct. 20 - Jessie Armstrong Tovar\, Bread+Bar\n\n \n\nThursday\, October 24 - Jessica Swartz(D)\, Candidate for Congress\n\nFriday\, October 25 - Lari Lawrence-Gist\, Pippin\, Director\n\nSaturday\, October 26 - Deborah Christy\, The Brookview School\n\nSunday\, October 27 - Jennifer Quail - 8-time Jeopardy Champion\n\n \n\nThursday\, October 31 - Surprise Guest!! \n\nFriday\, November 1st - Brandon Rock\, Rocky Horror Show '23\n\nSaturday\, November 2nd Brian Maynard\, Forte Coffee\n\nSunday\, November 3rd - Carol Sizer\, The Minutes\n\n \n\nThe Rocky Horror Show Musical Crew includes Jon Clough/Gabriel Palacios\, (Music Director/Keyboard)\, Lindsay Gilmore-Gaspari (Assistant Director)\, GarryLee McCormick (WigMaster) Beth Ward (Costume Designer)\, Collin Wagner (Technical Design/Scenic Design)\, and Klara Johnson (Stage Makeup).
