About Us

Palisades provides more than 800 megawatts of safe, clean, vital energy to Southwest Michigan. That is enough electricity to power 800,000 homes all with virtually no greenhouse gas emissions. In fact, Michigan's four nuclear reactors account for more than 90 percent of the state's emission-free electricity and is the only clean-air source that can produce large amounts of electricity around the clock.

Palisades provides 600 highly skilled full-time jobs for men and women in the area, plus an additional 1,200 specialty jobs during refueling outages. The plant is the largest taxpayer in Van Buren County and contributes $71 million in annual payroll.
